What They Say About Us
I am very fond of the UHS program and my teachers who made classes lively and inspiring. I really fell in love with English and because of the UHS, learning has become a pleasure. University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, here I come!
The UHS program taught to me open my mind and develop positive ways of thinking. After I was accepted to the University of Miami, I transferred to the University of Georgia because of my outstanding grades and because the University of Georgia ranked higher. I am on track to complete a 4-year degree, and I plan to attend Berkeley for graduate school.
The UHS program gave me the confidence I needed to speak English without any hesitation or fear that I might not be understood. Compared to other Chinese students, I was better prepared to begin study at American universities because of the UHS program. Many of my professors even thought I went to high school in the United States.
I quit nursing school after one semester and spent a year job-hopping. Then I joined IAA’s nursing prep program. With their support, I earned a scholarship to Adelphi University, graduated with honors, and am now starting my career at a top NYC hospital.
After being suspended from SUNY Binghamton, I thought I’d have to return to China. IAA stepped in, helped me transfer, and turned my academics around. Now, I’m back at SUNY Binghamton—something I never thought possible.
I had a low GPA and no TOEFL, so I cannot get into UC Berkeley, which is the university of my dreams. IAA advised me to be realistic and got me joint admission, both in my major and ESL in a California State campus. IAA’s tutors helped me create my study plan and coached me for transfer to a better university. I will be starting my classes in UC Berkeley in fall 2013.
I wouldn’t be a high school principal now if not for Ms. Hsu, the founder of IAA’s innovative programs. Together with over 30 other high school teachers in the class, I participated in the MS in Education program at California State University, Dominguez Hills in 1991. I am grateful to have received Ms. Hsu’s support and expertise.
In 1996, I came to New York on a tourist visa with a little money, and didn’t know what to do. A friend recommended me to Ms. Hsu’s organization. I started a program in MS in Computer Science and received help, guidance and direction. I am now a successful entrepreneur, with factories in China and USA.
I came to America in 1993, and am a student who went through the IAA system, like 9,000 others. I now lead a team of programmers at NASDAQ, and am giving back to society through serving as Director of the Straube Foundation. I am living the American dream with a happy family in a suburban community.
As Director of the World Red Cross in China, I owe my gratitude to IAA. They helped me through my language problems, and tutored me in the initial part of my master’s degree in business. When I finished my program, they helped me obtain internships which led me to the Red Cross in New York. They changed my life and gave me a new career.
I received five offers from prestigious schools in the United States, but my final choice was for one of America’s top 10 business programs: the Pennsylvania State University – University Park Campus School of Business. My parents are especially proud of me.
Because of IAA, I am now ready to enroll in a Master’s degree program at the University of Southern California.
The weekends and evenings spent in the IAA Student Atlas program helped us through nursing school. We graduated with a nursing degree and a Registered Nurse license. Now, our lives are financially and emotionally fulfilling. Thank you, IAA.
Like many international students, I struggled to adjust to college academics and campus life. In my second year, I was dismissed. Student Atlas helped me get back on track with tutoring support and college learning strategies. I graduated with a good GPA from SUNY Binghamton. I am going to grad school.
I had no TOEFL and low English skills. Student Atlas gave me the MBA foundation and academic English training. They tracked my progress through the MBA program and coached me for my career. I am now the Europe Regional General Manager of a major Chinese airline.
IAA guided me beyond test scores, helping me build a strong academic profile through SUPA courses and research. Their strategy led me to SUNY Albany, and later, I transferred to my dream school, the University of Miami, with a scholarship. IAA made my success possible!
With IAA’s guidance, I turned my passion for public health into action—publishing research, creating a health awareness website, and engaging with the elderly. Alongside strong academics, this helped me gain admission to multiple top universities, and I’m now studying at UCLA.
I came to the U.S. barely speaking English, but IAA believed in me. They helped me improve my language skills, guided me through BASIS Independent School, and supported my academic journey. Thanks to them, I’m now studying at Colgate University!
After struggling academically, IAA helped me transfer to SUNY Albany and rebuild my confidence. With their support, I turned things around and was admitted to Pepperdine for my master’s. IAA gave me a second chance.
IAA saw my potential and helped me find the right learning environment. With their support, I transferred to BASIS Independent School, pursued research, and strengthened my academics. In the end, I was admitted to multiple top 20 universities—something I once thought was impossible.
IAA guided me every step of the way—from academic planning to research and SUPA courses. When I was waitlisted by NYU, they helped me craft a strong appeal, and I got in! IAA made my dream a reality.
